Module 0
This module aims to deepen the understanding of three distinct groups — the Roma, refugees, and migrants — seeking to understand their cultural richness, the challenges they face, and the life trajectories that define them. Attached is more detailed information about the Roma.
Module 1
Objectives: ● Know and apply the EU’s core values to strengthen cohesion. ● Integrate heritage, history and the functioning of the EU into learning. ● Foster critical thinking, civic participation and cultural respect.
Module 2
This module presents Intercultural and Inclusive Education as a transformative educational approach that aims to build equitable learning environments, rich in cultural and social plurality. Objectives: ● Understand and value cultural diversity in the educational context. ● Develop intercultural skills, such as empathy and cross-cultural communication. ● Promote respect, tolerance and the reduction of prejudice and discrimination.
Module 3
Objectives: ● Understand the key concepts of social and cultural mediation and its role in school inclusion. ● Identify the main challenges faced by Roma and refugee children and young people in the school context. ● Recognize effective mediation practices and promote intercultural approaches in schools. ● Apply communication and collaboration strategies with culturally diverse families and communities. ● Critically reflect on the role of schools and professionals in building inclusive educational environments.
Module 4
Objectives: Understand the importance of mediation in the educational and social context. Recognize the specific challenges of including Roma, refugee and migrants children.
Module 5
Objectives: ● Recognize the main obstacles to academic success. ● Know effective good practices. ● Apply the guiding principles of school inclusion.
Module 6
Objectives: ● Recognize the importance of inclusion and cultural diversity. ● Identify risk factors associated with early school leaving. ● Develop practical prevention strategies.
Module 7
This module provides a set of links to important local/national institutions in the field.
